On March 20-21, the MEFORM trade fair once again brought together experts and innovators in Freiberg, and we were at the heart of the action. Dr. Hans-Willi Raedt, CEO of prosimalys, remarked:
We had a small booth — and our beautiful promotional gifts sold like hot cakes (or Schrippen, as we'd say)!
However, our main presence was on the presentation screens:
• as an exhibitor (not just art — you can buy it)
• in a presentation by a major steel manufacturer, who used the new "Dilation Boxes" function to simulate precise temperature curves during hot rolling, achieving excellent computing times
• in a lecture on extrusion processes from Leuphana University
• in a presentation by a major copper manufacturer, who simulates the ConForm process using QForm UK — a complex modeling challenge that QForm UK handles with impressive stability
• and, of course, in my own talk, where I discussed modelling grain sizes using an AI-based approach
What could be better than providing valued customers with such an efficient simulation solution that they are proud to showcase it to the industry?
